An ancient self-care practice used in traditional Chinese medicine, the Gua Sha tool is scraped across the skin to redirect energy flow, breaking down stagnant energy, increasing blood flow, and stimulating the lymphatic system to promote natural healing. It’s a simple technique that’s been used for centuries to treat a number of ailments including muscle pain and tension, inflammation, sinusitis, and migraines. Studies have shown that this daily ritual improves circulation by up to 400 percent, boosts collagen, and combats pigmentation, dark circles, and puffy eyes.
The Crystals
“I draw strength and harmony from the natural world”.
Green Moss Agate is a crystal of new beginnings, growth, and purpose. It encourages reconnection to the earth. This stone refreshes the soul and opens you to the beauty around and within. For the heart chakra. Charge surrounded by greenery.
Each crystal is intentionally charged with reiki energy.
Note
Our Gua Sha arrives in a small drawstring pouch, with a recycled cotton, instructional card, and Green Moss Agate description card. Each gua sha is hand-carved and so there may be slight differences in shape and size. As green moss agate is such a varied and interesting stone, the colour and pattern of each gua sha will be completely unique. It's a stone with natural "veins" which can appear like cracks but are within the stone and a natural part of the pattern.

The Ritual
Sweep through entire face and neck area – see "How To Use" instruction card within the box. Keep sweeps gentle and light when working the lymph fluid and firmer to move muscle. Stop if you feel discomfort or bruising. Aim to sweep each area between 3-10 times. Keep your tool almost flat to the skin (as opposed to a 90-degree angle). If the tool begins to drag, add more oil. Avoid using gua sha over acne, open wounds, or cysts.
Aim to practice gua sha daily as part of your self-care practice. Pressure is important - pay attention to this as you practice and listen to your body.
