A small, flat studio pottery bud vase in a deep oxblood glaze, graduating into a darker, almost blackened base. The rounded, low silhouette and narrow neck opening give it a grounded, sculptural feel, even when holding just a single stem.
The glaze has a soft sheen with subtle variation across the surface, pooling slightly around the shoulder and settling darker towards the base. The exposed foot ring reveals the warm, sandy clay beneath, adding contrast and texture.
Beautiful styled alone as a decorative object, or with one simple stem, dried grass or foraged cutting.
Vintage. In good condition with age-related surface variation as shown.
