To anoint: Warm the oil between palms and gently massage into the body. You can work from the crown - massaging into your scalp, then the face ensuring to work in upward circular strokes, before massaging the ears and ear lobes. Massage the arms and legs in long strokes towards the heart. Massage the chest and stomach in large clockwise circles. Finally, take some time to massage your feet. Allow the oil to penetrate the skin for 5-15 minutes before taking a warm bath or shower. Take extra care when getting out of the bath and gently pat the skin with your towel to dry.

Anointing the body is one of the greatest expressions of self-love. "Sneha" in Sanskrit, meaning "oil" also translates to "love".
Abhyanga is the Ayurvedic practice of self-massage, with benefits including increased circulation, aiding in detoxification, better sleep, and softer, smoother skin.

The blend
A key ingredient of the Hinoki Self Massage Oil is Amber - a fossilised tree resin that has been used in cosmetics since ancient times thought to hold rejuvenating and anti-aging properties due to its high levels of anti-oxidant-rich Succinic acid. A common ingredient in traditional massage therapy, Amber is associated with improved circulation and easing muscle tension.
The blend is infused with adaptogenic Ashwagandha - a herb said to calm, used as far back as 6,000 BC in India as part of Ayurvedic traditions.
The deep and grounding essential oil blend of mood-boosting blue cypress, red mandarin, and relaxing hinoki help to create an uplifting and soothing moment.

Each of our products has at least a 12-month shelf life if stored correctly. Please store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or sunlight.
Our bottles come with a small plug to stop leakage when travelling. Please remove this before using the oil.
As all our ingredients are natural, the colour may differ slightly within each batch but shouldn’t affect the effect of the product. Likewise, the size and shape of any crystals will differ but all have been cleansed and charged. If you are in any way concerned, please contact us.
To Recycle
Peel away the labels from the glass bottle. The glass bottle can be recycled with other glass items. Unfortunately, the label, plastic cap and pump cannot be recycled.
If you’re reordering, keep hold of your pump cap and choose the refill option with your next order. This comes with a fully recyclable cap and glass bottle so you can just add the old cap to your new bottle.
Our Hinoki Self-Massage Oil is housed in a compostable box. We are phasing out our wild seed embedded boxes and moving over to a fully biodegradable and recyclable FSC® certified box which is acid, heavy-metal, and chlorine free.
The Ritual
To moisturise skin: Warm the oil between palms and massage onto clean, dry skin. Apply before or after a bath or shower and great when partnered with our Green Moss Agate Gua Sha tool.
To bathe: Pour a small amount into a warm running bath. Take extra care when getting out of the bath and gently pat the skin with your towel to dry. Always rinse your bath immediately after bathing and take extra care with enamel baths.
