A small batch of incense blended in South East London. Inspired by the ancient woodland that once covered the area, this blend is woody, earthy and green.

Cedarwood and vetiver sit alongside cypress and bergamot, for a scent that feels like shaded woodland, dry earth and light through the trees.

Made as a nod to the Great North Wood and a time when Forest Hill was known simply as ‘The Forest’.

Each jar contains twenty hand-dipped cones. Approximate burn time: 15 minutes per cone.

The History

The word "incense" originates from the Latin incendere, meaning “to burn.” Its use can be traced back to ancient Egypt, where it played a significant role in ceremonial rituals.

Notes

Certain essential oils may be harmful to animals. Please exercise caution and keep this product out of reach of both children and pets.

To Recycle

How to use

Light the tip of the incense cone until it catches flame. Gently blow out the flame, leaving the cone smoldering with a soft glow. If the glow fades, simply re-light and try again. Place the cone on a stable, fireproof dish or burner, and allow it to burn through completely. Never leave burning incense unattended, and enjoy approximately 15 minutes of its soothing fragrance.

Ensure the incense is completely extinguished before moving or discarding ash. Store any unused cones within the jar, as the essential oils may cause damage to surfaces.

Pair it with the Ground Essential Blend or the Grounding Bath Elixir for more of that woody, earthy scent.

Hands mixing a face mask in a handmade ceramic bowl

I started out making things to help people slow down. These days I’m more interested in what comes after that: making with your hands, being in a room with people, and things you actually use rather than save for best.
