A leather bookmark made from Crazy Horse leather, finished with a metal eyelet, leather tie, and studded spiral detail.
Created using offcut leather from other studio projects, these pieces continue an ongoing effort to use materials already in the space. Each one is cut and finished by hand.
This version is threaded with natural gemstones at the top, adding weight and a grounding detail. The leather slips easily between pages, while the tie and stones rest outside the book, marking your place with something tactile and considered.
Crazy Horse leather is chosen for its durability and character. Over time it will soften and deepen in tone, developing a patina shaped by handling and use.
Each bookmark is unique. Variations in tone, markings, and stone are part of its character.
Care
Avoid prolonged contact with water or moisture, as this may affect the leather over time. To maintain the natural finish, keep the piece dry and store it away from direct sunlight when not in use.
The leather will soften and deepen in tone with handling - a natural patina that reflects its use. Stainless steel components can be gently polished with a soft cloth if needed.
